About Me

I distinctly remember my first bicycle: it was a sparkling red, banana seat bike with chopper-style handlebars, typical of the 1970s. Streamers, hockey cards in the spokes, and scraped knees. It was my freedom machine as a kid and allowed me to explore the neighborhood with the wind in my hair. Later I climbed aboard my dad's white Bianchi 10-speed and I felt the speed of narrow tires and the aggressive geometry of a road bike with drop bars. I don't think I've looked back since. Now I have bicycles for practically every discipline within cycling: road, gravel, cyclocross, mountain, and track.

I love seeing the world by bicycle, meeting new people, teaching others how to get the most out of cycling, and seeing the landscape of the Ottawa Valley pass by up close. This is why I became a certified NCCP Community Cycling Coach in 2019 and VeloGuide in 2021.

My mission is to share my passion for cycling and the beauty of the Ottawa Valley with others. As your VeloGuide, I can add a wealth of experience to your adventures in the Valley with the insight of a local. I believe in really experiencing the places you visit, connecting with the landscape and the people, savoring the local food and drink, and venturing off the well-worn path.
